Anjie About Town - Invested in our veterans
Published: November 17, 2010

Photos by Anjie Henley

If you look “about town” it will only take you a few minutes to realize that Powhatan County is a beautiful place to live. The events, people, places and times present an eclectic mix of images that are only limited by the words that describe them. Each week, as I venture around Powhatan, I hope to tell you a story of a county, one unique photo at a time.

Invested in our veterans
On Veterans Day, November 11, 2010, I traveled around Powhatan to capture the patriotism of our county. I was not disappointed. This week, I present to you “Invested in our veterans.”

About Anjie:
Anjie Henley has taken photos her entire life and has been in the photography business for over 30 years (for over 10 of those years she provided freelance work for the Powhatan Today). While it took her a while to catch up with technology and make the switch from film to digital, she is back and ready to capture Powhatan County’s events and people in a unique and artistic way.

Although she has worked for portrait companies, publications and photo labs, entered contest and submitted freelance work in many areas in the past, her passion is photojournalism and event photography.

More information and a sampling of her work can be found at: www.anjiehenley.zenfolio.com

OMG, this is a whole new level mom!  Exceptional work!  Incredibly touching pictures and yes tears did come in my eyes and a huge lump in my throat.  Captured extremely well!

Stunning photos Anjie.  Some of them brought tears to my eyes.  Thank you for sharing them with all of us.
