Brian Treymaine Walton, a Richmond man suspected of burglarizing homes in Powhatan, was arrested in the Richmond area by a multi-jurisdictional task force, the Powhatan Sheriff’s Office reports.

Walton was arraigned in Powhatan District Court today on three counts of grand larceny, three counts of attempted grand larceny and burglary.

Walton had been wanted in Powhatan since Nov. 7, when a homeowner returned to their residence in the 2000 block of Moseley Road and found Walton parked in the driveway. After Walton drove away, the homeowner realized the house had been burglarized.

I can honestly say that some of the police only target certain people in powhatan. When you go to court you have the female judge who just throws the book at you before she hears anything. I will say this powhatan does a remarkable job for pinning charges on you. If you were rich they would let you go. I am glad that I am not the only one that sees how they are

Flattering.  Someone pretending to be Powhaclown.  Imitation is the highest form of flattery.  Well not so here.  But most will probably notice i can spell.  “You “trying” to Amelia there homie?”.  Anyway, I understand my message is being heard and it’s being heard by people in Powhatan.  And your one of them.  Noticed the animal sex reference in the other blog.  Kinda gave u’rself up there.  Hear me, ya understand me, and ya wanna be me.  Who don’t?

You seem to have so much negative to say about the police in our county but I believe that when you are in an emergency with nobody to turn to you will call those who you rant about to come protect you a$$. I support law enforcement in Powhatan county and all over the United States.Keep up the good work guys and gals!

Ed I’ve been here long enough to see enough I’m just not from here. Once again I don’t think your reading my comments very well but that’s just a reflection of society these days so oh well. I am not judging I said nor did I ever say they were corrupt. I said, ” They seem or give off the appearance of being corrupt”. I feel the deputies and officers deserve respect for their often dangerous jobs so I would like a reason to be proud of them in their field work and in court. Community members can serve their community without getting a job with the county, there are other avenues such as volunteering and joining clubs and organizations. I think if we all want a better community it starts with the leaders. The law enforcement in this community are losing respect and they need to look objectively to the reasons why. The point is, if they were doing there jobs effectively by writing down information at the scene of crime they would definitely have the answers to the questions. If a car was involved, don’t you think they would have what type of car it was and who the owner was? Simple things like that. I’m not trying to defend criminals, I’m trying to communicate reasons why some people might feel the way they do about the law enforcement and other law officials in the county. A community should be able to trust their officers and doing there job to the best of their ability and enforcing the law and defending the law and upholding the laws of the land in the field and in the court.

Meredith,

You are a sharp person.  I posted my comment to show how “ignorant” your logic was in reference to the police officers in the county.  By saying someone is corrupt just because they answer a question by “I Dont Know” is just as “ignorant” as saying someone sitting in court is a criminal just because they were there.  If you think you could be a better police officer go fill out an application and quit sitting in court judging others on how they do their job.  And in reference to your comment about community service, I have been serving this community for over 16 years, and by your own admission you are “new” here.  When you catch up to that amount of service you can throw stones until then think about your comments before you post them.

Karen, I’m new here that is why I don’t consider myself from here but whatever, is that all you have to say? Obviously I didn’t say ALL people from Powhatan. I was referring to the comment below mine but I was trying to be civil…take a hint.

Not to mention that you identify yourself as being from Powhatan; therefore, by entering the comment “That just shows how ignorant the people in Powhatan are” you are placing yourself in the same ignorant category.

Meredith, when you say “That just shows how ignorant the people in Powhatan are”, you are identifying ALL Powhatan residents. Why are you judging thousands of people when you obviously do not know all residents of Powhatan County? That to me, is extremely ignorant.

That just shows how ignorant the people in Powhatan are. You can actually go to court without being there for a court case. I could deliver some facts but then I would be revealing info about cases. The logic doesn’t apply because it is not logical to say that just because you are in the courtroom you are a criminal. Is the judge a criminal, the lawyers, the deputies, the officers, the clerk, the families and friends? According to your logic they are. The point of the deputies answering I don’t know is to point out the fact that they clearly have the information. Like I said, go observe for yourself. That was the point of the comment. Take some time to learn about the community and civil service and go and observe yourself. I notice you didn’t say anything about the commonwealth’s attorney rolling his eyes. It’s about the law being upright and just, something you can be proud of. A person is innocent until proven guilty so their case deserves uprightness and justice first and foremost. If they are guilty the law will work, there is no need to resort to immature tactics. That’s the point. I’m not trying to defend criminals but our justice system won’t work and the community can not trust the lawmakers and enforcers when they exhibit this type of behavior.
