Case against man charged with possession of marijuana continued

A federal search warrant executed by the DEA turned up over a half pound of marijuana in a county home last year.

Federal agents searched Glenn Worrell’s home September 4, 2008 because the individual targeted in the warrant was known to frequent Worrell’s residence.

Worrell arrived home while agents were conducting their search and he told them he had bought a pound of marijuana every three months for the last five or six years.

He said the majority was for personal use but admitted to selling small quantities of the drug to five regular clients.

It was noted that Worrell has no prior criminal history and his bond was continued ahead of a sentencing hearing next term.

Glenn, Bella and Kids,
Keep your heads up and be proud of what you have accomplished so far in your life. Everyone makes mistakes in the course of a lifetime.
I know that people who would judge you without
knowing you personally should go look at themselves in the mirror and ask if they have lived the perfect existance as obviously the concerned citizen has lived.
I’m proud to call Glenn and Bella my friends and I wouldn’t hesitate to be there for them no matter what the reason.
I’m sure most of you do not realize the amount of time that Glenn has spent with special events in and around the community. Isabella has spent her whole professional life dedicated to the educational advancement of children. They are outstanding parents and have two great kids.

Where to start…
First of all,The posting time of our “concerned citizen’s” message is somewhat telling.  The paper was barely released before this “Person” felt the need to publically announce the connection between Glenn Worrell and his wife’s job. I suspect that this is someone who knew of the case beforehand, and was waiting for the release to throw gas on the fire.  This is nothing short of spiteful and hateful.
Secondly, this is proof that our (HA) concerned citizen does not know Isabella Worrell AT ALL!
Mrs. Worrell does a magnificent job as princiPAL of Powhatan Elementary, and has always been deeply committed to the success and wellbeing of all children.  She has the utmost respect of ALL the school’s staff, AND THIS WILL NOT CHANGE!!

I should hope that if this person ever finds themselves in a comparable position (likewise not of their own making) that they are shown more compassion than they exhibit.  Also, anyone with enough true concern to voice an opinion should have the courage to post a name.  Otherwise it is sheer audacity.

I know both Mr. & Mrs. Worrell.  They are both very upstanding citizens as far as I am concerned.  Glenn has done many charitable things for ill children both in and outside of the Powhatan community.

I don’t know the entire story regarding his arrest but I can tell you that you cannot judge a person by one mistake made.  I know I have made many in my lifetime (unfortunately that is part of the human condition) and I’m sure the concerned Powhatan Citizen has done things he/she has later regretted.

I know the Worrell family members including Mrs. Worrell who is an excellent role model in the Powhatan community.  She has devoted herself to teaching our children to ensure they become contributing citizens.  I failed to see the connection between her position in the school system and the mistake made by her husband.  This is not to suggest that Mr. Worrell is not an exception individual (who made a mistake and who will pay for that mistake) but I don’t think there is any evidence to indicate Mrs. Worrell was involved in any manner.  That happens all too frequently!  A woman, wife and mother suffers for a mistake made by her husband.  I hope readers will take into consideration vindictive individuals like the concerned Powhatan citizen who did not have guts enough to give his or her name.  Incidentally, the concerned citizen can’t even spell principal correctly.  Maybe he or she would have done better in life had they had Mrs. Worrell as a teacher. The family should not be ostracized or blamed when there is no evidence that they knew anything about the activity.  It is sad that we can’t accept that we all make mistakes and that we can admit to our mistakes and move on to be a better person!

My concern on this matter is who this person is.  He is the husband of Mrs. Worrell who is the vice principle of Powhatan Elementary School.

This is amazing, Mrs. Worrell lives there and her husband is selling drugs.  What a role model for the schools.

Maybe she can be in charge of the anti-drug campaign.
