Convicted drunk driver will serve time after fourth DUI

The following case was heard last week in Powhatan Circuit Court.

Steven W. Owens will serve a 12 month jail sentence for violating the terms of his probation.

Owens was arrested recently in Prince Edward County and charged with his fourth DUI.

In 2006, he was convicted in Powhatan of DUI and eluding police.

Yes Kathleen, that’s the way it work out here. 4DUI’s 12 months or tatoo his face I have 4 DUI’s do not sell beer, wine, or liquor to me.  Beat your wife, too bad.
Speed and you get a small fine, etc.

Additional probation should result in community service.  We should not pay to have County government area’s mowed, and painting the government buildings in and out.
Washing the sheriff’s cars, working on and washing school buses etc.
Taking care of the park, sports area’s.

Once a person gets out of jail, he should pay the taxpayer back all monies that cost us for him and his family.

You mean to tell me that after 4 dui’s he’s finally going to serve some time? And only 12 months!
