The Powhatan Post Master and the supervisor of the post office retired Friday Oct. 30. Jacqueline Turner (left), Post Master, and Laverne Bruster, supervisor, retired with more than 60 years of combined experience with the Postal Service.
Both women said service to community and a connection with residents were the best parts of their jobs.
Harold Walker assumes Post Master responsibilities for Powhatan.
