County youth invited to attend ‘Nature Quest’
0 CommentsPublished: July 01, 2009 Contributed report Do your children have an interest in nature or love being outside? Nature Quest Extended is an adventure in wildlife education for boys and girls ages 9 to 13. This mini day-camp will be offered July 8, 9 and 10 from 9 a.m. to noon. Nature Quest engages youth in hands-on learning activities that promote environmental awareness, as well as an appreciation of the exciting world of nature and the outdoors. Nature Quest Extended offers an in-depth look into wildlife education – in particular habitats of the wild. Each day youth will focus on a different habitat involving stream life, reptiles and amphibians, and wildlife typical of this area. The cost for this program is $20 per child which includes a daily snack and supplies. Class size is limited so registration is required. To pre-register for Nature Quest Extended, contact Cathy Howland, at 598-5640 or email . |
