Female suspect in teen’s shooting death turns self in By Roslyn Ryan
Jun 28, 2008 The 19-year-old suspect in Tuesday night’s fatal shooting of a popular Powhatan High School student turned herself in to Powhatan authorities early Saturday morning. According to a statement released by the Powhatan County Sheriff’s Office, Stephanie C. Reynolds turned herself in at around 1 a.m. She is one of three suspects sought in the death of 18-year-old Tahliek Taliaferro, who was shot to death after an altercation at the Sheetz gas station in Flat Rock. The other two suspects, Ethan Parrish, 24, and his cousin Joey Parrish, 19, are still at large and are considered armed and dangerous. Reynolds, whose parents made an emotional televised plea earlier in the week for her to turn herself in, is being held without bond until a court appearance on July 2. The sheriff’s department has declined to comment further on the matter at this time due to the ongoing investigation.
Anyone with information on this case is asked to call the Powhatan Sheriff’s Department at (804) 598-5652.
