A joyous crowd of Powhatan residents gathered at Red Lane Baptist Church last Saturday to take in an evening of good old fashioned gospel music.

The show, organized by Powhatan resident Ruth Boatwright, featured acts well-known throughout Powhatan including The Highlighters, Sisters and Friends, Lewis Brandt, Sharon Samuel and many others.

Proceeds from a love offering taken during the event will be donated to Relay for Life.
