Man avoids jail time in marijuana case

The following case was heard last week in Powhatan Circuit Court.

Todd Z. Watson was ordered to to complete detention and diversion programs after he was found guilty of two counts of possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute.

The court sentenced Watson to three years on each charge and suspended the time for five years, on the condition that he complete the alternative programs.
