Richmond man wanted in connection with Rocky Ford Road break-ins turns self in Published: September 27, 2011 By Roslyn Ryan A Richmond man wanted in connection with a string of break-ins in Amelia and Powhatan turned himself in to the Powhatan Sheriff’s Office last Friday. Police had been searching for Brandon J. Lucas, 21, since Aug. 9, when he was allegedly involved in a home invasion in the 900 block of Rocky Ford Road. According to Sheriffs Department Crime Analyst Anne Reynolds, a woman who lives in the area became suspicious after she saw a car pulling in and out of driveways on Rocky Ford. She contacted another neighbor, who in turn followed the car and recorded the license plate number. Lucas had also been sought in connection with several crimes that occurred in Amelia around the same time as the Powhatan break-ins. He is now charged with two counts of breaking and entering, two counts of grand larceny and two counts of theft of a fire arm in Amelia, as well as four counts of grand larceny and one count of breaking and entering in Powhatan. |
