More warrants for two murder suspects

The Powhatan County Sheriff’s Office has issued four additional warrants in relation to the June 24 shooting death of 18-year-old Tahliek Taliaferro.

Ethan Scott Parrish, 24,  Joseph Parrish, 17, and Stephanie Reynolds, 19, had already been charged with first degree murder, malicious wounding, and the use of a firearm in the commission a felony. Additional warrants were issued Tuesday, July 29 for Ethan and Joseph Parrish, charging both with attempted murder and the use of a firearm in the commission of that crime.

The warrants stem from the shots fired at the two other passengers in the car with Taliaferro at the time of the murder.

Taliaferro died at the scene of the shooting, near the intersection of Schroeder Road and Dorset Road, while another teen survived a gunshot wound to the back.

The two males also in the car were not injured.

Taliaferro, a popular Powhatan High School student, was mourned by thousands during a service at the high school in June.

All three suspects in the shooting are scheduled to appear in Powhatan Circuit Court on August 27.
