Miquel Anthony Matthew, a resident of Powhatan County, faces up to 10 years in prison for selling marijuana to a confidential police informant.

Authorities used audio and video equipment to document the January 2010 transaction, in which Matthew, 24, sold just under an ounce of pot to the informant. The transaction occurred in the 1200 block of Dorset Road, according to summary evidence in the case.

Matthew pleaded guilty in Powhatan Circuit Court April 8 and will be sentenced June 27. He was allowed to remain free on bond.
