3. Sure people take and take, but I am sure that they pay their bill, pay taxes; I believe that 80 percent of those on welfare and food stamps could do some kind of work to receive those monthly checks!!!!! But according to you that is not take, Take, TAKE! Look into “FAIRTAX.ORG”
4. Most people do help others! Your Wrong Again look at what has been give to Haiti and New Orleans after those Disasters!

ALL your troubles since you turned 18 have been brought on ONLY by you. Not because some one won’t give you a ride or have worked hard for what they take off the Car Lots! You know there are laws, you have Bills, and what is Right from Wrong, but you need to point that finger at the person in the MIRROR first!
I did not hear you place the blame on any Criminals! The reason people don’t pick up or hitch hiking is because people have been getting robbed, their vehicle stolen, mugged, and KILLED all for wanting to HELP OUT!
Then we see people with those Sob Stories Signs & they are standing their smoking and later are in a convenient store buying beer with the money you and others work hard to give and believe that we are helping others. People like yourself do nothing to save money and get their driver’s license back for starters. They just expect people to bail them out and it’s our fault they stay on welfare for life. Please reread this and then read the book “Who Moved the Cheese!” It’s free to check out at the Powhatan Library where people can go to learn how to save money and look for areas to increase their education and areas for social services help or for those people that want to get out of minimum wage positions! Its all FREE please stop blaming others and make friends, become positive and you will have friends.

I notice that people in Powhatan that do have a good job and make a fair income don’t give a darn about people who loose there drivers license and can’t get to work.All most people do is Take,Take and take and don’t try to help the ones who need help.Theres a lot of people out of work these days and if some one gets alittle food money so what? Why should greedy people have everthing any way!People see others that can’t even get around and don’t even ask them if you need a ride.Walk in my shoes and see how tough it is out there.Most will say I am smarter then that,walkers say your weeker then my step…

I appreciate that so many of you can about how people steal from our tax dollars. If you bring it up to those that get assistance (Not talking about those that REALLY need assistance due to medical etc) But those that want to hide that they could work and LAZY and DON’T!!!!
I people say something we are prejudice or if we ask them to work for the FREE MONEY that SLAVERY. OMG give me a break. We can’t ask a PRISONER to break rock without paying them a per hour!!! I have to work for my food and House but THESE people don’t have to do nothing but do DRUGS, DRINK ALCHOL, AND DRIVE HIGH DOLLAR CARS!!!!!!

Please look into the “FAIR TAX” we get rid of the IRS and those people including illegal immigrants who don’t pay tax will have to pay the tax on those 30 Thousand dollar cars and beer and cigarettes. The IRS is dissolved and tax is take else where. AND EVERY BODY PAYS IF YOU BUY SOMETHING.

How come some of the people who get Food Stamps, Medicaid and other assitance. Drive $30, 40, 50 Thousand Dollar vehicles? So, haven a job is criminal, but the vehicle, property, Jewelery, Expensive Type of phones, Satellite dishes, Smokes at 50 Dollar a Carton, Shoes and other clothing in the hundred of thousand of dollars and get thier hair and nails done at thousand of dollars a year! So I must be wrong like if people don’t fill out the censous if a Federal Crime but have never heard of a person going to JAIL for that!!!!! Why should I have a job if everyone suppose to get everything handed to them and keep having babies at my TAX DOLLARS AND THEY SAY I AM THE ONE THAT IS WRONG?

I really think that social services needs to step up their program. I have seen several woman going to use the stamps. and when I walk out to their car. they get into these 20 or 30 thousand dollar vehicles. I just dont understand it. I went to social services to get them to help me with my light bill for 76 dollars and they told me they were broke. so my electric was almost turned off. I went to get an apartment and they said that i needed referrals. well did the illegal immigrants at the apartment have referrals no they did not.  I dont think it is fair for the people who really need it.  Thank you for listening.  I just wish we could get a patition to go around trying to make it where they need drug test as a requirement in order to get food stamps. also they need to raid these housing projects we would help save money.  I would like to know how to start a partition to make it a law. so you are liable to take a drug test.

She needs to spend some time behind a row of bars.  What she did is no different than stealing from the good people of Powhatan.  Such a shame that a person would give up their ideals to behave like a common thief.  Maybe time in jail will get her attention.  A thief is a theif and she stole from all of us.  I would like to be on social services too!

to coyote gurl - that truly is terrible to hear but not surprising.  it’s always the ones who deserve and need it the most that get screwed.  again, it’s who you know in powhatan and nothing else.  when you have friends/family in social services to help you screw system, tell you the loop holes and ways to lie to get what you want, it’s just sad.  i thought SS was there to help those in need, not help their friends and families who are not in need but just lazy (and yes, some are just that).  for those that truly deserve it, i have no issue - only issues for those who do not because they don’t want to work or would rather spend their money on partying.

ok, she used her ‘maiden’ name and REAL ssn….how come SS didn’t run her ssn from the get go???? that makes no sense, unless she was unemployed and got the Wendys’ job later on.

I can’t believe the nerve some people have.  years ago, i was pregnant..was very sick and had to quit both my jobs…My husband was the only one working.  They told me…you can get $31 in food stamps..I told them to KEEP it!

ridiculous.  hate people who abuse.  kind of like those who could afford to live OK but choose to purchase beer, wine, other alcohol and cigs in lieu of food that they could afford just fine but choose to let the rest of us pay for their food but getting food stamps that someone else out there truly may need.  they do by falsifying financial information and having friend who happens to work there help them.  it is truly disgusting.  but just anything else, who can you do.  it’s all about who you know in this county - not about right and wrong.
