Rain and relief on Election Day

Election Day has brought rain and a definite sense of relief to the county. But between late game campaign advertisements and a tiring media onslaught, the excitement seems to be over the end of the campaigns and not the prospect of a new president. People are just glad that it’s over.

Whatever the outcome, “It’s not going to be easy on me,” said Ann Reynolds whose daughter and husband sit fervently in opposite camps. She said the upcoming holiday season could be tense.

But the real question is how long it will take, after the votes are counted, for our factionalized government to come together for the sake of the country.
