Everyone is allowed to have their own opinions--and what I am saying is regardless who was the “triggerman"--the rest will be charged regardless because of them running--they will be looked at as accomplices. And RA of Powhatan--when have known Tahliek not to fight fair? I know with me and my friends, if someone is meeting me to fight (back in the younger days) we all drove up there, but only I had the plans to get out and whip butt. I just think maybe Joey and Ethan were scared because there were so many people; but yet it was not that serious to be shooting at someone. They could have drove off and left it alone. Even though they said they were “blocked in"-I know if someone was meeting me to fight and I was that scared, the last thing I would do is shoot at them, I would at least ram my car out of there b4 that. because of one dumb decision--that will cause the rest or most of the rest of their lives, and cause heartache to alot of family & friends for the rest of their lives. The problem is that I heard that they were all on drugs so they probably were not in the right state of mind. But regardless--no one has the right to take another’s life unless it is self defense. and in this case, none of the 3 suspects had a mark, so it was not self defense.

I would have to agree with Mandy ( i have never met you or your family) but you’ll need to stop, stop jumping to conclusions on what you think you know. I know Tahliek from bad expierences involving my own brother, and for those of you to say that he would fight one on one, is a load of crap. So why pile up in a car to face supposedly one guy they saw at brewsters??? Why jump two WHITE kids w/5or 6 of your friends if he is such a good guy. I am not saying that he deserved to die, not at all i don’t believe anyone has that choice to make for someone else. But yes they should have fought a fair fight but come on now, anyone who knows Tahliek knows he does not fight fair and surely does not fight alone.... RIGHT.

I think that everyone needs to leave the Parrish family alone with the threats and the horrible comments made to them, feel what you want to feel for the suspects but they are family, friends etc to other people, just as Tahliek was to some.

I think everyone needs to put it to rest and let it all come out in court, then you can say something, but no, Tahlieks friends wont let that happen b/c even if there was only on trigger person i am sure they will go after the others when they get out, and that makes you just as bad and you should rot in hell for it. ... just remember that.... God watches your every move, listens to your every thought.

i know the cops have not said yet that they found a gun..but they did a bb gun..thats why they didnt shoot back cuz it was only a bb gun! joey was going to fight him..he didnt know shots were gonna get fired! and you cant blame jessie either! it makes me mad that the cops didnt say on the news that they found a gun on them. but they did. my familys been talkin to them. since you think you know so much did you know that the evidence came back that joey did not fire a gun?? you need to just sit back and let the courts handle this..they will not get the death penalty..ITS NOT A HATE CRIME!!!!!!!!if you know me or my family you would know that!

by mandy of powhatan Jul. 7, 2008, 11:06 AM

first of all you need to shut ur mouth!! you dont know...i do....ITS MY FAMILY...AT FIRST EVERYONE THOUGHT IT WAS JOEY..AND KNOW THEY KNOW IT WASNT! why cant you say your name?? if your not mistaken ...thats the thing you are!! the only reason why he had his guns was because he was movin out of his house and moving his guns to another house...dont say your family member(s) only one of them shot...so you think they both should get the death penalty?? no. i was on my way to hang out with them at the river..so it couldnt have been but so planned out! you need to stay out of it my family is goin threw enough.we dont need judgmental people like you running their mouths making it worse, exspecially when you dont know what your talkin about!i hope you go to hell for sayin what youve said and judging before knowing the whole truth! i know the truth you dont!what happened was a tragedy and i am sorry for the familys loss very much! but you on here saying stuff that you dont know, just making asumptions, doesnt help! my brother doesnt deserve the dealth penalty if he didnt shoot n e one!

To Jennifer & “Sis of Ptown” (probably meaning Mandy) --I understand you may be trying to take up for your family, but regardless of how many people was with Tahliek, if I am not mistaken, JOEY provoked them and asked them to follow them down dorset, did he not? so if he was sooo scared with all the people with Tahliek, he should have left them alone& kept his mouth shut, and this wouldn’t have happened.  and even if what you say is true and someone “waived a gun"-which i think is a load a crap, because #1 the cops have found no gun, and #2 if someone had a gun and “waived it"-as you say, then when the other people start shooting, you would shoot back with the gun you “waived” DUH!--NOONE carries 3 loaded guns with them in a vehicle , not intending to use them. so don’t give me or anyone else that bullcrap. everyone knows Joey & Tahliek had issues, because Joey could have asked Tahliek to meet just him like a MAN, and I promise Tahliek would have came alone. And another 4th little girl out there, which name starts with a J, set all this up, so this was premeditated, even if they were meeting to fight, YOUR family members shot and killed SOMEONE ELSE"S SON & FRIENDS, that is bullcrap, I hope all get death penalty.

i think its crazy how people sit on here and run their mouths not knowing what they are talking about! joey was never leading them there to kill them.yall say that tahlieks friends would not have jumped in,then why bring so many with you when its only joey and ethan. tahleik pulled a gun first.none of yall know the truth,so stop actin like you do.this is all in gods hands now so stay out of it

I’m sorry but when you have a carload of people in front of you and another one blocking you in and stopping you from going ANYWHERE, that’s just a LITTLE wrong itself. I may not live there, but I KNOW Ethan and Joey a LOT better than you do, and you need to go set beside yourself and wait for the WHOLE STORY to come out, the ENTIRE truth instead of acting like a child and getting fussy because someone said something you don’t like. There is a LOT to this you don’t know. Trust me.

by e of Ptown Jul. 3, 2008, 11:02 AM

Jennifer of TN, you really really need to correct yourself. First of all, Joey didnt FORCE Tahliek & his friends to follow him and his psycho cousin, but I know you HAVE to remember fights when you were younger that you would want to show your friends you were not scared. I remember I was the same way. You NEVER expect some one to shoot you over something so dumb. Joey & Ethan should’ve MANNED up and fought like a man.  Tahliek was not going to get his friends to jump in.  If JOEY wouldn’t have provoked them in the first place to “follow to settle this” then none of this would have happened. Joey is a troubled teenager and I hope they throw him under the jail and he rots as well as Ethan. Ethan should have not been that dumb anyways to be apart of something like that with a fiance’ and small child and to “supposively” own his own business. What an idiot. He ruined his life as well. But at least you would think he would give a little more of a crap about his family. But I guess not. They are all ruined and they have hurt many and I hope they get the worst punishment possible.

by Jennifer of TN Jul. 3, 2008, 07:33 AM

Joey did not lead the boy to anything, he had made the choice to ‘fight’ him himself. No one made him go after him. You cannot blame someone’s decision on someone else because they made a bad one.
