Suspect sought in surrounding counties, police ask for help

The Virginia State Police is asking the public for help identifying a man who is being investigated for passing altered checks at several Union First Market Banks in the City of Richmond and Chesterfield, Hanover and Henrico counties.

From July 23 through July 27, the suspect received funds totaling $10,000. He is wanted in connection with grand larceny, forgery and identity theft.

The man is described in a news release as a white male between 30 and 40 years old, 5’10” to 6’0” tall, and 225 to 250 pounds. The suspect has several tattoos on his forearms and has been seen wearing both casual and business attire. 

According to the State Police, he may have connections to Ohio or Pennsylvania.
