Powhatan Postal workers who had been waiting to receive a portion of their pay have now been compensated, according to US Postal Service Spokeswoman Cathy Boulé. While workers did receive a portion of the money they had earned prior to the 2007 Christmas holiday, the checks sent out had not included the full amount due. The problem, which affected 14,000 US Postal employees across the country and 14 in Powhatan, was due to a computer glitch said Boulé.
