Two Buckingham County men were arrested in Powhatan Nov. 26 on gun and drug charges.

Antonio Javon Cabbell and James Lamont McNeil were arrested at about 11 p.m. in the parking lot of a business on U.S. 60 West of Route 522. The Sheriff’s Office declined to provide the address because an investigation is ongoing.

Cabbell is charged with four counts of possession of a controlled substance with the intent to distribute, possession of a firearm while in possession of a controlled substance and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

McNeil is charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of a firearm while in possession of a controlled substance.

The Sheriff’s Office reports that unidentified pills and a white powder were found, but lab results are pending.

Both men are due to be arraigned tomorrow morning in Powhatan District Court.
