Wednesday, May 7
Family story hours are held Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday at 10:30a.m. and Tuesday afternoon at 1:30p.m. for children up to age 5. Library hours are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 9 a.m. to 8p.m., Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Library is closed on Sundays and county holidays. Thursday, May 8
Powhatan AA meets every Thursday at 8 p.m. in the Powhatan Village Building.

Friday, May 9
Reformers Unanimous Addiction Program meets every Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. For more information call 598-7556.

Saturday, May 10
Powhatan AA meets every Saturday at 8 p.m. at the Manakin Episcopal Church on Huguenot Trail.

The Powhatan High School Band Boosters sponsors Bingo games every Saturday at the Powhatan Volunteer Rescue Squad Building. Doors open at 5 p.m. Early Games begin at 6 p.m. with regular games at 7 p.m. For details call Julie Garber at 598-5123.

A team meeting will be held for volunteers interested in assisting with the Veteran’s Recreational Horseback Riding Program from 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. For more information contact Clint Arrington at 357-9524 or e-mail LDEquestrian .

Saturday, May 17
The Little Zion Baptist Church will host Community Day from 12 p.m. to 5:p.m. There will be a variety of activities for adults and children such as tug-o-war, hula hoops, sack races, horseshoes, a moonwalk, pie & cake walk, egg relays, horseback rides and door prizes. A play will be performed by the Little Zion Baptist Drama Ministry. Please come and enjoy yourself with food, fun and fellowship.
