Have you ever thought about growing for a farmers market?

Or perhaps even starting your own Community Supported Agriculture business.

Well if so, the Center for Rural Culture is pleased to offer its Fourth Annual Growers Workshop on Saturday, Jan. 31, from 8:30 a.m. –  4 p.m. at the J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College Western Campus in Goochland County. The CRC, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is offering this educational opportunity for both new and experienced growers who wish to grow produce and provide value added products for market.

Participants will gain valuable knowledge about the business of growing for market.

The CRC has lined up over a dozen dynamic individuals who will be offering their skills and expertise to our new and experienced growers in the Central Virginia area and beyond.

The fee for the workshop is $35 and includes a delicious boxed lunch provided by Whole Foods Market. Registration is limited to 60.

Registration deadline is Wednesday, Jan. 28 and same day registration is available on a first come, first served basis (no lunch will be provided).

To register, go the www.CenterForRuralCulture.org.

A limited number of scholarships are available on a first come, first served basis. Please call (804) 314-9141 for additional information.
