Kenneth W. “Dick” Moore Jr., age 47, of Powhatan, died May 22, 2011.

He is survived by his daughter, Ashley Moore of Richmond; father, Kenneth W. Moore Sr. and his wife, Laverne; mother, Betty Hodge and her husband, Clyde; one brother, Gary Moore; paternal grandmother, Ruth S. Moore all of Powhatan.

The family received friends in the Bennett Barden Funeral Home. Funeral services were held in the Graceland Baptist Church, Powhatan. Interment church cemetery.

Lucky Judd, published photographer, is now in heaven.

Lucky was the husband of Frances Judd. His sons Gregory and Chris are his heroes. He will also look down upon his daughter-in-law, Angela and four grandchildren, Cyrus, Aviana, Esther and Josephine. Other family members are sisters Starr, Karen, Bunny, Peggy, Robin and Shawn and spouses. In-laws are Dr. Mary Helen Beirne, Beth Bauer and Bill, Marian Patey and Carl, Owen Beirne and Marie, Evelyn Harkins-Corning and Jessie, and Charlie Beirne and Debbie. Lucky also leaves 20 nieces and nephews.

Becky Johns, 74, of Powhatan, died May 10, 2011.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Robert L. Johns, Sr.; daughter, Debbie Easter (Mike); sons, Michael Johns, Robert Johns, Jr. (Mary); two sisters; two brothers.

Winfrey G. Heath, Sr., 83, of Midlothian, died May 20, 2011.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy J. Heath; four sons, Winfrey Heath Jr. (Doris) of Mechanicsville, Wayne Heath, James Heath both of Midlothian, Michael Heath (Helaine) of New Kent; two sisters, Joyce Bullock of Midlothian, Frances Gentry of North Carolina; two stepchildren, Michael Lusk, Becky Mills; 10 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, 3215 Anderson Hwy. (Rte. 60), Powhatan. Funeral services will be held Monday, 2 p.m., in the Bethel Baptist Church, Midlothian. Interment church cemetery.

Gene M. Mingee, age 57, of Powhatan, Va. passed away in his home on Friday, May 13, 2011. He is survived by his “Sweetheart” Becky Mingee; mother, Joesphine Saintsing; daughters, Beth, Jamie, Ashley, Sarah and Jessie; and brothers, Ralph, Leonard and Roger; and 10 grandchildren.

A memorial service was held on Thursday, May 19, 2011 at at the Cremation Society of Virginia.

Jay W. Dodson, 36, of Powhatan, died May 13, 2011. He is survived by his wife, Kathy Dodson; daughter, Ashley Dodson of Powhatan; father, Mike and his wife, Susan Dodson, of Cumberland; mother, Merica and her husband, Larry Boyles, of Buckingham; maternal grandmother, Margaret Holt of Powhatan; mother-in-law, Helen Hurd of Powhatan; stepgrandparents, Leon and Joan Jessup of Powhatan.

The family received friends in the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home.

A graveside service was held at Grove Cemetery, Cumberland.
