Bobby Lee Mills, 64, of Powhatan and formerly of Goochland, was ushered home by the angels on Saturday, May 16, 2009. Bobby enjoyed his lifelong career as a self-employed excavation contractor for 43 years. He was a loving husband, father, and Papa, and a living example of devotion. He was preceded in death by his father, Henry C. Mills. He is survived by his loving wife, Dianne Mayton Mills, whom he adored; his daughters, Christine Osgood and her husband, Todd, of Augusta, Ga., and Bethany Reed of Powhatan; nine grandchildren, Sarah and Jesse Reed, Michael, Matthew, Melissa and Megan VanDeventer, Brianna Stone, and Cameron and Haley Osgood; his mother, Louise K. Mills of Goochland; his brother, Henry Wray Mills and his wife, Bernice, of Goochland; his sister, Evie Pasedag and her husband, Jerry, of Goochland; his brother, Chester Mills and his life partner, Barbara, of Clearwater, Fla.; and many extended family members and special friends who will treasure every memory of such a special man.
