Charles Wayne Tomlinson Sr., 69, of Powhatan, passed away on May 19, 2009. He is survived by his partner, Sue Sage; four children, Connie Paulette, Paige Sauerbrey (Greg), all of Powhatan, Chuck Tomlinson (Karen) of Colonial Heights, Charlene Martin of Yorktown; his adopted son, Jason Sage (Laurel) of Pennsylvania; stepdaughter, Donna Williamson (Howie) of Cumberland; 10 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren. His passion was raising potbelly pigs and goats. The family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Bennett & Barden Funeral Home, 3215 Anderson Hwy. (Rte. 60), Powhatan, and where a memorial service was held Saturday, May 23. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association; Powhatan Rescue Squad; or the Huguenot Volunteer Fire Department, Company 2.
