Editor’s note: The following is a response to a recent story on an award won by the Powhatan County Administration. The award, given by the National Association of Counties, honored the county for its Code of Ethics.

Dear Editor,

As one of Powhatan County’s newest residents, I am not at all surprised by this recognition. It did not take my wife and I very long at all upon moving here March of 2008 to recognize what an amazing group of folks live in this county. If these residents, that we have come to love so quickly, are the stock from which the County leadership is chosen; it is no wonder that this administration has such a team spirit. Please continue to lead as you have been. We expect to live here for many more years. Thank you.
