Dear Editor,

I must respond to D. Taylor’s letter. I, unlike D. Taylor, would like to commend the Board of Supervisors for taking its time, reviewing the facts and not rushing into a decision either pro or con Walmart. It is my  understanding that Walmart submitted significant changes to their plans the night before the August Board of Supervisors meeting, certainly not enough time for  the Supervisors to thoroughly evaluate the new information. It was prudent to defer a vote until all the changes could be reviewed and I commend the board for taking its time in this potentially county-changing decision. Isn’t it much better to give a decision as important as this the proper time and consideration it deserves?
