I believe Mr. Cole is actually paid by John Tyler CC, but his role is to help children at the school with career and post-secondary goals. Which is really all the man has ever tried to do- help children. I could be wrong, but I don’t believe he is on the school’s payroll. Gayle of Powhatan

I have been gone for years now but it sounds like things are still the same. I was concerned that Gresham would be more likely to fight for the place from which he came and possibly not be nonpartial. I didn’t feel that way with Moore since he was not always a go with the others kind of guy when he was on the school board. Did I understand TG is a SOL Coord? Interesting. The cutbacks last year looked great to the public giving the illusion of responsibility, but still left the most blatant disparities intact. The friends and family favoritism is still in full force it sounds like since they are all still there. I would think the Family policy is very easy to get around. As long as the current monarchy is in place things will remain the same. Sad but true. If a chosen one is next in line, it still won’t change. Dr. Miguelito Loveless of The Wild Wild West

Nothing personal against Gresham, but I am glad that Tucker won, as I have reservations about having a second School Board alumnus on the Board of Supervisors (Moore, of course, being the first). Having School Board alumni on the Board of Supervisors creates the risk of a fox-in-the-henhouse situation. Rebel Yell of Powhatan

Wow! Let start with t-shirts: Distribution of partisan political materials is not allowed in or on school property except when done in connection with a non-school use of property as provided in the policy related tothe non-school use of facilities and grounds and except on election day at any school which may be used as voting precincts provided that at the schools such distribution does not conflict with Title 24.1 of the Code of Virginia. No school property shall be used for the production of Did not seem to phase the good Dr. at all! Family Members: File: GCCB Family members are defined as father, mother, brother, sister, spouse, son, daughter, sonin- Please note this was changed after her son an law and his brother were hired. But the rules is no family members. Now this begs to ask, what will happen when Mrs. Ayers future daughter in law got the job at Flatrock Elem. school? Yes, she was given a job over the summer and a teacher with seniority was let go. New school Board member Rick Cole: QUALIFICATIONS OF SCHOOL BOARD MEMBERS This says he must resign his “tim gresam” and “Dr. whatshername” created position as SOL coord. now that he is a elected official. This is not the place to mention, the Finance position in the Central Office. But it does make interesting reading. Forced to resign at the Boo Who of Powhatan

Well the votes are in…...THANK YOU Powhatan!Dreams do come true! I wonder if mr. gresham will sell those tee shirts to get some of his money back. Better idea….You could ask the Dr. if she could adopt any number her family members working at the central office, and you could marry one of them, and you could get a job. That way you are still in the loop or make up a job, like SOL coordinator for PE at the high school, that way you can retire, downsize the position, bring it back twice, run for public office, and still have a job at the high school. Boy you are lucky that YOU helped put all that good stuff in place. Who knew, but the good voters in Powhatan what a GOOD guy you really were. Now you and ole Rick can sit on the front porch and tell stories about the good times you had at the tax payers expence. HA Ha jokes on you huh? To sum it up…you ain’t gotta go home, but Timmy you gotta get the heck outta here!!! Submit Your Comments Below Commenting is not available in this weblog entry. |
