Even after three decades in law enforcement, Sheriff Greg Neal says there is one thing that never changes: the enjoyment he gets out of letting a crime victim know that justice has been done.

“Even if it’s a property crime, you can just see the satisfaction on people’s faces” when they find out that the person who violated their homes has been apprehended, said Neal, who marks his thirtieth year with the Powhatan County Sheriff’s Department today.
