March 20 - Cosby at Powhatan
Score: 3-2

Starting in the first inning, Cosby’s M. Jones walked and scored, then scored again in the fifth inning with a homerun.

These were the only two runs scored by Cosby. Shelton scored for Powhatan in the third with an RBI from Starkey.

The bottom of the seventh inning saw Cosby still ahead (2-1) when O’Neil got on with a hit to left field.

Johnson hit a double to left scoring O’Neil and tying the game. Tied going into top of the ninth inning as Sisk came up to bat for Cosby. Sisk got on base with a double then stole third. Next came a strikeout for C. Mason.

K. Lenhart hit a grounder to third, Powhatan’s Sellers picked up the ball, checked third, then threw it to first. Johnson tagged first then threw hard to home. the catcher, Prince, made the tag.

With Powhatan up to bat in the bottom of the ninth, Mills got on with a hit to right field, making it to second. Shelton groundedout to first.

O’Neil grounded to short, but advanced Mills home for the win.
