Indians wrestling remains undefeated in the Southside

Above, Powhatan’s Josh Vaden sets his opponent up during the Indians’ home meet last Thursday night. PHS Wrestling went 2-0 in the Southside District on Thursday, defeating Nottaway and Southampton on the same night. The PHS Wrestling team now has a six year undefeated streak in the Southside District.  The winning wrestlers for PHS were: 103-JC Elder, 112-Dave Bowers, 119-Joseph Girgente, 125-Seth Kern, 130-Josh Vaden, 135-Cody Haislip, 140-Kalsin Parker, 152-Zach Powers, 160-Charlie Bennett, 171-Sam Green, 215-David Conner
and 285-Vik Khart.

Just look at the pedigree of the coaches, Richardson and Keely these guys are winners, you will be hard pressed to find any school with coaches with a better pedigree…
